Mission

In memory of Fay Honey Knopp (1918-1995), prison reform advocate and founder of Safer Society Foundation, the mission of the Fay Honey Knopp Institute is to continue our founder’s work of prison reform advocacy, with special emphasis on mitigating the impact of mass incarceration on the  millions of American children and families adversely affected by parental incarceration.

We will help meet the needs of at-risk children of incarcerated parents (ChIPs) and their families with activities such as:

  • New Circle Mentoring
  • Training Workshops for Counselors, Educators, & Volunteers Who Work With At-Risk Children
  • Free Downloadable Publications
