Resource: Becoming a Better Mentor

MENTOR National introduced a new resource written by experts for people who take on a mentoring role. Becoming a Better Mentor: Strategies to Be There for Young People is a good read and is available as a free PDF download.

A Note from the Director of New Circle Mentoring

Spring is here! Vermonters experience a lift in spirits as green growth begins to appear. The transition from snow storms and freezing temperatures to yellow daffodils and warmer weather provides the perfect setting for New Circle’s mentor matches. Mentors and mentees will begin enjoying simple things: late sunny afternoons, sitting by the lake, and indulging in the popular Vermont treat — the creemee.

Lawson’s Finest Sunshine Fund Donates to New Circle Mentoring

New Circle Mentoring Receives a $5,200 Vermont Mentoring Grant from Mentor VT!

New Circle Mentoring is one of the initiatives of Safer Society Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to provide services and resources for preventive and restorative responses to sexual and social violence. The goal of the mentoring program is to support mentees academically, psychologically, and emotionally so that they can overcome the obstacles on their paths to healthy adulthood. Mentors help mentees build social connections and support their learning and extracurricular activities, all of which encourage resilience and emotional competence in our mentees.
