School-Based Interventions for ChIPs

Training for Vermont School Counselors and Educators on
School-Based Interventions for ChIPs

On December 2, 2016, over two dozen school counselors and teachers from around Vermont gathered to learn about school-based interventions to support children of incarcerated parents (ChIPs). The event was sponsored and organized by the Fay Honey Knopp Institute of the Safer Society Foundation as part of the growing ChIPs-in-Schools Program. Certified trainer Katelen Fortunati — who is also the author of the ChIPs Storybooks — led the event held at the Brandon Inn five doors down from Safer Society’s Brandon headquarters.
