Safer Society Foundation

Resources for the Prevention & Treatment of Sexual Abuse

Safer Society Foundation is dedicated to ending sexual abuse so that we all can enjoy safer communities, healthier families and happier lives. Our work focuses on providing information and resources to help create safer communities through prevention and effective public policy, to provide victims with healing and restitution, and to provide offenders with the tools to be accountable for their actions and to work towards rehabilitation. We address sexual offending as a public health issue whose solution can only be found in an integrated, system-wide approach. We seek collaborative partnerships with all stakeholders and support efforts to find and implement evidence-based best practices for prevention, treatment, supervision and public policy.

Safer Society Foundation provides resources through three major programs: Safer Society Press, the Nationwide Sex Offender Treatment Referral Service, and this website.

Safer Society Press publishes books on all aspects of sex offending. We offer treatment workbooks for survivors and offenders, books for families dealing with sexual offending issues, books on prevention and on public policy, and professional books. Our titles include books for youth of all ages and adults. For more information about our books or to order online, click on Safer Society Press.

The Nationwide Sex Offender Treatment Referral Service is a free service that provides referrals to sex offender treatment programs. Anyone may request a referral to treatment providers for any location within the United States. For more information or to request a referral, click on Prevention and Treatment Information.

Our website provides information on many facets of sexual abuse. You can access our content either by topic – supporting survivors or treatment for persons with sexual behavior problems for example, or by affinity group – survivor or parents of children with sexual behavior problems for example. Click on Prevention and Treatment Information to explore all the topics and information or use our search function. If you’re a treatment professional, please visit our professionals page for information and resources designed especially for you.
